Why not serve food in, well food? Wheat bran is an excellent material, because it is 100% natural, and degrades easily in 30 days in the environment. The disposable wheat bran tableware is suitable for serving hot and cold meals. It can be safely used in classic ovens or microwave ovens. The products are robust and stable – you can comfortably and safely use them at home, on a picnic, in the bar, during the open-air event or in the restaurant. Since the plates and bowls are made from clean edible wheat bran, you can safely take bite and eat them. Only all-natural, clean wheat bran is used for the production, without any artificial ingredients. They come in all shapes and sizes you might need: soup bowls, smaller , bigger and even oval shaped plates.
How does it work?
The plates are manufactured in a safe, clean and eco-friendly way. Just compare it with the dirty oil that is needed for plastic, and the choice will be a no-brainer: The plates are made of wheat grown and processed in Poland. After that plates are formed from the wheat bran, and they are compressed on high pressure. A few seconds of heat-treatment seals the surface and makes it a bit shiny. This ensures that the plates can hold liquids for a certain amount of time. The end result is a robust and durable plate that you can use at home, on a picinic or in a restaurant. They are better than plastic plates, as you can’t put those in an oven or microwave oven! You can bake a pie, bread or even fish in these pretty plates, or even put it in the freezer!
What happens after your successful plastic-free party?
If the guests haven’t eaten them all, the plates are easily compostable at home, but of course for a large event you might want to use the service of a composting facility in your area. They biodegrade in 30 days and become rich nutritious soil which plants can enjoy. Alternatively they are a healthy additive to animal feed too!
What about cutlery?
We got that covered too! The knives and forks that goes with them is made of a mix of biodegradable PLA plastic and wheat bran. These are not edible, but they are biodegradable in composting facilities. PLA is short for polyactic-acid, which is made of the inedible parts of corn. Manufacturing PLA is better than plastic, as there’s 90% less CO2 emitted in the process, and no need for mineral oil whatsoever.
